1. Make a personalised "To-Do-List" and jot down all the jobs you need to do, transferring info from all the half done lists you have, as well as all the jobs floating around your head. Make a list for you partner as well, and put both lists on the fridge. You will be amazed at how much more you both get done!! Cross off the jobs as you go, with a red pen to highlight what you have done. Then before it looks too messy, transfer the left over jobs and any new ones, onto a fresh page.
2. Make a computer print out shopping list, copy it several times and as you run out of an item, circle it so you progressively do your list. Then you won't stress out come shopping time or forgot to get some things. This will save you heaps of time and headspace.
3. Make double the quantity for dinner whenever you can, so you can have it the next night. Even though this isn't as nice as having something different every night, it will save you/your partner heaps of preparation and washing up time.
4. Buy an A4 sized notepad, and keep it by the phone during the day and by the bed at night. This will help you get into the habit of having a permanent home the whole family knows about, to check for any messages, or to quickly flick through for some important info you've written down, preventing time searching for lost paperwork etc.
5. If you have children, use a folder for Kinder/School & Child Care notices. to help keep them tidy and easy to find. Buy a hole puncher for all these notices you get to keep it looking neat as well.
